Sobre o LCEM


Criado em 1998, o Laboratório de Catálise, Energia e Materiais (LCEM) integra a Rede de Catálise do Nordeste e a Rede de Hidrogênio. Apoiado pela Financiadora de Pesquisas do Governo Federal (FINEP), Petrobras e Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq), o LCEM realiza pesquisas nas áreas de ‘Uso e Transformação de Recursos Minerais e Energéticos’, e ‘Uso e Transformação de Recursos Agrícolas’. Os pesquisadores do LCEM desenvolvem projetos nas áreas de:

- Preparação, caracterização e avaliação de catalisadores e fotocatalisadores para a geração e purificação de hidrogênio;

- Sonocatálise;

- Biomassa para produção de biofertilizantes;

- Purificação de óleo de gordura residual (GR);

- Energia solar: casa de farinha solar, geração de calor e vapor, cozinha solar, secagem de frutas e hortaliças, aquecimento e destilação de água.
