The Institute of Technology and Research (ITP) has been standing out for over two decades in promoting sustainable solutions and driving technological development in various fields. The laboratories of ITP, the Bioprocess Engineering Laboratory (LEB) and the Food Research Laboratory (LPA), have played a key role in this scenario, featuring a multidisciplinary team comprised of professors, post-doctoral researchers, master's and doctoral students, as well as undergraduate research students.
The main objectives of these laboratories are focused on the development of innovative research and technologies in the field of biomass valorization. Biomass, which stands out for its wide applicability and the rich diversity present in Brazil, is of utmost importance to ITP.
Thanks to partnerships established with companies, ITP has been converting industrial waste into high-value-added products such as enzymes and substrates used in the production of biofuels, biolubricants, and other products.
